The Opinionator: Amazon’s ‘Cave’ on Kindle

Amazon reacts to its critics on the Kindle 2’s speech-to-text option.Once again the big media conglomerates have taken away digital freedom due to intellectual property rights charges and the new media company, Amazon in this case, caves in to the representatives for the conglomerates. The blind community may have the last say on this since they are now unable to listen to books on the Kindle 2. Lessig refers to the conglomerates as bullies in his blog. I refer to them as the old Soviet Ministry who stifle innovation and capitalism back in the good old days.
