After the Curtain Falls, the Web Gets Into the Act

Theater is the ephemeral art — except, that is, when it’s bootlegged on YouTube. It appears that the theater is even experiencing the art of being YouTubed and often it is great advertising for shows. The Broadway League and The Actor’s Equity Association appears to be reacting with a different approach than their bretheren at the MPAA and the RIAA. This could evolve into a teachable and reasonable approach to handling new media that benefits everyone.
