Judge Hints at Mistrial Conclusion in RIAA v. Jammie Thomas

The federal judge who presided over the nation’s only peer-to-peer, copyright infringement trial announced from the bench here Monday he is likely to declare a mistrial. The judge said Congress didn’t support RIAA’s position that proof of downloading by others from Thomas’ share folder was implied and not necessary.
